Week Nine

Well, hello there! Thanks for checking in!

The sunsets never cease to take my breath away. The one pictured was just amazing! We ended up getting some rain out of those clouds. Not a ton, mind you, but enough to keep the dust down for a couple of hours. It was so nice hearing the rain on the camper while snuggled in my warm, comfy bed.

Week nine was filled with many of the same old, same old. I will say that I have noticed myself getting more and more restless. I am taking more walks and working on the computer more, just to keep myself busy. I was able to help some past clients of mine purchase a lot in Twin Falls, ID that they have had their eyes on for quite some time. It was awesome to be able to help them. I was also hired by a close friend and colleague to be his transaction coordinator for one of his transactions. I really want to reach out to more real estate agents and let them know that I would love to help them as well. It would be a great way to earn some money while out in the desert 🌵💰

Sage turns four on Monday, Jan. 20th! Happy Birthday, pretty girl! Anyone that knows me well, knows how very lucky Sage is to celebrate her fourth b-day with us! She wasn't always a good girl! LOL!

I saw a super cool Sundog the other day! Click on the word to see what, exactly, a Sundog is. The picture really doesn't do it justice. They can be so pretty, like a round rainbow 🌈

Our hummingbird family is growing...and fighting! I love watching these little bird "jet planes"! One of the males is the biggest hummingbird I have ever seen! They are so entertaining! We have Anna's and Black-chinned species. I would love to see a Rufous! They are my favorite and common in Arizona.

Oh my gosh! I have to share this with you! Hopefully you are not getting tired of Sage stories 😁 Gary and I take Sage swimming in the lake at least once a week. She gets super dusty out here, so she needs a bath! Well, her coat is very dense and takes a hot minute to dry, so I started using the leaf blower to dry her off! LOL! It doesn't bother her at all and it works great!

A weekly post wouldn't be the same without a picture (or two) of our friends, the Burros. Here ya go!

Every Wednesday, my brokerage, Keller Williams Sun Valley Southern Idaho, has a "team meeting". I have kind of taken them for granted for many years, but being out here in the desert, with very limited socializing opportunities, I look forward to them so much now! I love seeing all my friends and colleagues, and being able to talk and joke around with them. Technology is a good thing! (And you are welcome, Destino, for the subtle plug!)

Oh, hey! Before I forget, when we were getting ready to go on our "Big Adventure", I went online to order some laundry detergent and other stuff. Keeping in mind that I have limited space, I did not want to buy a big thing of pods or a big box of powdered detergent. I found this brand and it is environmentally friendly and a huge space saver! It works great and smells yummy! Check it out for yourself, if your interested. Not too spendy, either!

Dillon is going to fly into Mesa Gateway Airport on Feb. 7th and hang out with us for Super Bowl. He will be staying long enough to celebrate his birthday with us on Valentine's Day! I am over the moon happy about this! We will be moving closer to Gary's brother, Duane (you know, the one that doesn't like me to post any pics of him!) and camping over there for awhile. Gary's sister, Susan, and brother-in-law, Georgie, are coming from Wyoming for Superbowl, so it will be a little family reunion, of sorts. It should be lots of fun and I am looking forward to being around humans again!

I hope you are all doing well and being kind to one another. That's really what it is all about. No need for anger and animosity. I feel like we all need to take a deep breath, believe in each other, and practice patience. Thanks for checking in and I will talk at ya later!

Gary and Lynn
p.s. I am going fishing today. Wish me luck!
