Week Ten

Week ten is in the books and really, nothing super exciting to report. Sorry. We did have a good week though! Gary and I took Sage on ride down a wash and let her run and she loved it! We saw three groups of burros and they were all in groups of three. I wonder if that's a thing? Although, I have seen quite a few groups with more, so probably not.

I have seen so many cairn's around and I think they are super cool. I built one while we were on our ride and I think I will just start making them everywhere! Hey, don't judge! It's fun and they look cool 😎

I keep seeing grave markers ( I think that's what they are called. Maybe memorials?) everywhere. They are in the most random places! I sort of want to know who and why, but I also kind of don't want to know, if you know what I mean.

We saw a sweet rig one day when we were in Salome getting propane and gas for the generator. Let me just tell you, it turned a lot of heads! I cannot imagine how much it cost, but it had to be a pretty penny!

Here's a picture just to make you giggle! Apparently the sign maker isn't big on spelling 😁 You have to say it with a southern drawl..."I gotta get on over to the lawn-der-mat and worsh my clothes y'all!"

On Sunday, Gary and I went to Wickenburg to have an early birthday lunch and do some sightseeing. Our friends at the lake babysat Sage so that we could both get out of the truck! It was so nice. We had a nice lunch and found some fun shops. Wickenburg is a really neat town. It is an old mining town and now it is a big rodeo and team roping place. Oh! I met a pretty cool dude walking down the street with his donkey!

This next picture is of the "The Jail Tree". It is over 200 years old and was used as the jail, because apparently, Wickenburg had no jail. The criminals were chained to the tree until they sobered up and/or served their time. Crazy!

This morning we woke up to rain drops on the roof. It was so nice! We haven't go much rain, but it is cloudy and chilly today. Nice day to be lazy and work on the couch. I am celebrating my 60th birthday today! I definitely do not feel sixty, and honestly, it doesn't feel any different than fifty-nine. LOL! I hope you have a wonderful week and I'll talk at ya later 💓

Gary and Lynn (and Sage!)
