Week Fourteen

 WEEK FOURTEEN

What a fun week! Dillon was still here and we had lots of fun doing pretty much nothing! It was nice to have time just the three of us with very little distractions. I really enjoyed being with my kid and we had some super good talks. We laughed and talked a lot! We went on a ride every day, just mostly putting around checking out other campers and being silly. We found a cool cactus that looked very much like a a giant jack rabbit! Pretty cool!

One afternoon, we were sitting outside and saw a cool hot air balloon flying over by the Superstition Mountains. It's not the greatest picture, but you get the idea.

The pick up tire started going low this week, so Dillon and I went into the city of Anthem to Big O Tires to have it fixed and run a couple of errands while we were there. We wanted to get some kites, so we ran over to Walmart in Coolidge. We stopped at the Casa Grande Ruins. Wow! So amazing! The ruin is one of the largest prehistoric structures ever built in North America and it's purpose is unknown. It is huge! Click on the name to learn more, if you'd like 😃

A couple of days later (Dillon and I were kind of bored), I called the Ace Hardware in Florence to see if maybe they had any kites, because we struck out at Wally World. They did! So Dillon and I took off again and bought a couple of kites. They are the kid kind, $9 special, but they flew and we had a blast. Dillon decided to hook his to a fishing pole and that kite took off! So funny!

The weather has been super nice and it is forecasted to really warm up! We are supposed to hit eighty degrees today and slowly climb up to ninety by the weekend! WTH? Exactly why we are here. No rain or snow or cold. Yipee!

I bought a new sign for the kitchen. It's the little things in life, right? It makes me giggle!

Gary and I took Dillon to the airport of Friday (WAHHHH!) and then we did a Costco run and a grocery store run before heading back to the camper. We had decided to go back to the lake and I couldn't be more happy! We got all packed up on Saturday and headed out Sunday morning. We arrived safe and sound and are so happy to be back. I know that I complained a lot about this place, but honestly, after moving to the Florence, AZ area, I realize now that this is actually pretty convenient. I think the biggest thing for me is having the lake. The fish are supposed to be biting and Sage loves to swim. Also, it is pretty to look at and watch the sunset. Having fresh water, ice and a place to dump close by is also a plus.
Well, that's about it for now. Hope all is well with you and yours and "I'll talk at ya later!"

Gary and Lynn
